DOCUMENTARY FILM SESSIONS

I am so happy to be introducing the latest venture in the Little Beanies portfolio – Documentary Films!

Don’t worry, David Attenborough won’t be in the background, narrating as your little ones brush their teeth – but we are talking completely relaxed, free-range footage of what you and your family get up to in your natural habitat.

I’ve recently been experimenting with film-making, and I absolutely love it! The concept of making a mini-movie of your everyday family life may sound a little unusual, but I can honestly say that it’s an amazing addition to a Family or Day In The Life Photo Session

Depending on the package you choose, all you need to do is spend a few hours or a day just having fun! It’s the simple things in life that bring so much joy – and that’s what I like to capture. Eating ice cream, playing on the swings, jumping in muddy puddles!

You’ll have a fully edited professional video to treasure forever.

If you’d like to book a film-making session with Little Beanies, or just find out more, then please do get in touch.

THE LITTLE BEANIES STYLE

Being a mum myself, I know how important it is to capture these times. They grow so quickly and, although you are onto the next amazing chapter, you simply just don’t want to miss it.

I will be able to provide you with some fun-loving and real moments, documented as a story for you to literally treasure forever. These are totally unique to you.

And, more importantly, you (yes including mum!) will be in the pictures and you will have so much fun making these memories too.

"Amazing photographer! Lisa has produced the most stunningly beautiful images of our family that we will treasure forever. Just a great experience, from the session itself (I was anxious about the session as I don't like having my photo taken, Lisa put me at ease instantly) all the way through to receiving the box with the images on a drive and a few special images printed already!! Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts”

SOME OF THE FINER DETAILS...

A session typically lasts an hour with a family but I allow up to 2 hours. If you add film to a package then we may have little longer. I say this because kids generally don’t last that long, and I really do get the best from them in the first hour. It’s sometimes nice to have a change in location or scenery so maybe pop in the garden or drive somewhere a few mins away. It also means you can plan something else with your day if you have taken time off as I won’t be taking up your whole day unless you book my Day in a life which is a different concept altogether.

I love the home as this is where you spend most of your time and equally if they are children aged 3 plus they normally love the outdoors too. So this is entirely up to you. If the distance isn’t too far I often do a combination of both for a change of scenery.

If I come to your home, I normally get to know the kids a little first but I do get snapping and filming pretty much straight away as kids don’t last too long. I’m always happy to have a chat before hand to plan your session. If you would like an activity we can do baking, go on a bear hunt (always fun for older ones), I even have kids turn into super hero’s half way through too which is also lots of fun. We can go for a walk, go to the park, feed the ducks. I have lots of trick ups my sleeve to keep them entertained. The most important thing is to be you and just doing your everyday things often keeps them very much entertained.

It is so important that you wear what you feel comfortable with in and the kids. I tend to say don’t wear any big logos or loud patterns. No need to coordinate unless you want to. The more comfortable you feel, the more relaxed you and the family will be and one less thing to worry about.

Being a mum of two young boys myself I know exactly what life can be like with kids. One minute everything is fine and the next minute they are throwing an almighty tantrum. Honestly don’t worry this can happen and it’s not a problem at all. We just make sure the kids are happy. They lead the show basically and we never ask them to do anything they don’t ant to. They may want a snack and a sit down. This is fine. I will read the situation and they may just need a little break and this is why I’m really flexible on my sessions. If there is more than one child then we can just focus on the other for a bit or mum and dad. Believe me they soon want to get involved again!
