Yes it is! Detrice (Dee) is one of my best friends and she has the most A.M.A.Z.I.N.G family. We had such fun the other week. Will and I popped up to see them and introduce our little Louis.

Dee was just so excited to meet the little man. We met at Uni about 15 years ago! I now feel very old. There were four of us which lived in a house together. We named ourselves the ‘Tudor Groovers’ (we lived on Tudor Grove and thought it would be funny! Ha!) and I can honestly say that without these girls, Uni would have not been the same. We were all pretty much inseparable. Like they say ‘Good friends are those that know your stories! Best friends are those that helped you write them’ and these guys certainly helped me write mine!!

Dee is probably one of the kindest people I know. She would literally drop everything to be with you if I ever needed. For example Dee’s been instrumental in helping me get to grips with starting a family. She knows all the tricks. Little 4am texts just to make sure I’m getting on ok, in the early days when she knew I’d be awake feeding, was just what I needed during the long nights.

So getting the whole family together was a dream. Gaz (Dee’s husband) is is such a great guy. They are so made for each other and have produced the most adorable kids, Noah and Isla. Isla was so funny she just wanted to stick her tongue out all the time. Think she gets her cheekiness from her mum and she’s gorgeous with it. Noah is a little saint. They were both so photogenic and I just loved being able to capture Dee’s family in their natural surroundings. On my shoots that’s how I get the best out of people when they are relaxed and at ease with the camera to capture that moment in time.

I’m so looking forward to our little Louis growing up with these guys! We’re going to have so much fun. Thanks Dee for being such a great friend for all these years and being there when I’ve needed you most. If Louis turns out to be half as good as these little monkey’s I’ll be one happy mummy – mwah. xx
