The Mother and Baby ‘bond’ is an incredible one. Having become a mummy myself, I can honestly say that the relationship we have is far more immense than I ever imagined. I knew it would be amazing but didn’t actually think it could be this amazing!! I pinch myself everyday at how much I can love my little guy. I’m not saying that a Father and Baby bond isn’t special too, as it’s just as amazing but in a different way.
Especially for Mother’s Day I have put together some of my favourite moments from photography sessions I have done. I just adore it when mummies look into their baby’s eyes and the look back is just stunning. Capturing this moment makes my heart melt. I think I still have some pregnancy hormones running round!!
Just look at these gorgeous smiles! So smiley and happy.
But this bond started for me well before I had my little boy, every time he kicked inside me I just absolutely loved it and felt like I was really protecting and growing a little person, that when he arrived would totally depend on me to love him. And oh yes I do!!! So much. I feel so lucky and blessed to have experienced this.

I love to capture the pre baby bump too as the look in those mummies I meet eye’s is so intensifying and beautiful.
This is my little man below, he just loves it first thing in the morning when he goos and laughs at my silly jokes! Well someone has too.
For all mummies, especially the ones that are celebrating their first mothers Day, I hope you have something very special planned. I wish you an amazing day and I’m sure you’ll enjoy every second. I actually don’t want anything, as I know it’s cheesy but seeing his smile every morning is the best present in the world. Although I would appreciate a lie in. Ha! Hopefully Daddy will sort that one.
Enjoy and lots of love Lisa x
