Last week we went to see my best friend Emma in beautiful Cheshire. And yes she lives on a farm!! As you can imagine Louis and I were very excited.
Well I thought farmers worked hard but I didn’t realise how hard. Emma’s lovely boyf Rich has worked on the farm since he was a little boy. He was seriously up at 5am and we didn’t see him until 6 that evening. “So what have you done today Rich” I asked? “Urm…milked the cows and delivered some calfs”. Honestly it is an incredible job. So diverse and interesting. I even had fresh milk literally just milked from the cow – it tasted amazing!! He works very hard indeed. Their house is beautiful too. So Idyllic and Emma is doing a great job of making it a home.
Emma and I went for a lovely walk and stopped at a cafe down the road for a cuppa and must have sunset photo’s by this picturesque lake. It was so nice to switch off and just chill for a bit. Louis loved it!!
Emma then arranged for us to go to Cheshire Ice-cream Farm. It’s a must have for all those Icecream lovers and it’s amazing for kids. They have a tree which snows every hour and theres a count down. It’s free to go and pay hardly anything for the activities.
So what has Louis been up to this week?!? Well he took his first step on Sunday 5th October! He hasn’t done it since but it was in front of his great grandma Jeannie so a very special moment. His pointy finger is also out and he’s talking away more than ever now. He’s learnt how to say ‘Woof Woof’ and just generally becoming a little character. I’m just loving my time with him right now.
Emma – thanks for a fantastic time ‘Up North’ I do miss being that way. Everyone is so friendly. Amazing place and thanks for helping me capture pics with my boy.
I hope you enjoyed the long awaited Week 21!!!
Lots of love
Lisa xx
