Last week we had a week in Dartmouth with the Jordan family. We’ve been looking forward to it so much as Will has been doing stupid hours at work.
Louis got to spend time with his cousin’s Arnie and Phoebe. He really looks up to Arnie, although I think Arnie thinks he can be quite annoying sometimes!! Louis just loves hugging but its not always everyones cup of tea when snot it hanging down his face!!
The photo’s I got for this week were on the beach. I decided to just take these and enjoy the rest of the holiday. Louis loved flying the like that Poppa bought and even had a go himself.
Louis and Arnie do totally crack us up. They danced in the kitchen one night and had us in stitches. Arnie has got some great moves and Louis just loves to copy. Clearly he gets his rhythm from me (so not his dad!!).
I love going to Dartmouth. It really reminds me of my childhood with my Dad as we used to stay in Salcombe (only 30 mins from Dartmouth) every Year. So it brought back a few memories with my Dad no longer being here with us. God I do wish Louis (and Will for that matter) had met my dad. He would have loved Louis to bits. Luckily I have a fantastic father in law that Louis just loves to pieces. To a point where I actually had a bit of a break as Louis just wanted ‘Poppa’ all the time ;). I know Poppa loves it really.
I miss my dad so so much and I make sure I tell Louis all about ‘Papa C’ all the time. Whenever I see a rainbow I tell him it’s Papa C. I know he’s looking down and he helps me make decisions all the time. I wouldn’t be doing the job I love if it was’t for my dad. I know he would be unbelievably proud of me right now. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think about him and just miss him terribly but I know I have a lot to be grateful for. I really am a very lucky girl.
Poppy, Poppa, Jess, Tom, Arnie and Phoebe – thanks for an amazing week in Dartmouth. I love creating memories and going to a place that my dad loved too made it even more special. I feel so lucky right now.
I hope you enjoyed week 43
Lots of love
Lisa xx
