Gosh I’m getting worse at my blog. It’s just been so busy recently which is not a bad thing I guess. Anyway I decided to do a little blog on baking with children so here it is to those that read it and it is an amazing recipe. Why not have a look….

Daddy has been doing a lot of training recently for a charity Kayak trip down the Grand Union Canal over three days to raise money for various charities. I’ll be doing a blog about it separately but in the meantime here’s Louis having fun with the Bourbon mixture whilst Daddy trains. It was Father’s Day so they were all made with love (and snot!!)) I’m actually surprised there was any left to put in the oven!!

They looks amazing don’t they. I saw some in a cafe a few weeks ago and I just had to give them a go. Here’s the recipe I used. So easy and they look really difficult too, so you get browny points when people say “wow you made these!”

Louis’ chat is getting funnier and funnier. He can now put two words together like ‘Bye Mama’ and say lots more words. He also sings a bit which is highly amusing. Wheels on the bus is his favourite. It kind of sounds like it. He’s becoming more and more independent and starting to tidy up after himself which is great but wondering when this will wear off when it’s not a game of putting things in the bin anymore.

He’s loving jigsaws ALOT. So I probably need to get some more as he gets bored now already. I love spending time with Louis. I’ve got a really good balance at the moment. He never lets me email or anything when I’m with him as he takes the phone off me and puts it somewhere so I can’t get it. Little monkey and very funny! Serves me right I guess. His ‘Please’ and ‘Thank you’s’ are coming on too. I never let him get away without saying it though and it’s just so cute.

I hope you enjoyed week 49 and making your bourbons. Honestly you’ll look like the perfect wife baking these!
