Hannah and Mark were just such lovely people and little Beatrice was a bundle of joy at 5 weeks old. She was so alert and loved having a her photo taken. Mark has very kindly put a few words together from a Dad’s perspective to tell you lovely folk what a session with Little Beanies is all about.
“Nine weeks ago our little bundle of joy popped into our world, and I have to say it’s been the most beautiful, wonderful, challenging, rewarding and amazing experience ever. And as any parent will tell you, they change so fast over the first few weeks my wife and I wanted to get a snapshot of these fledgling moments. We’d met Lisa at an open day laid on by the ladies from Birthability and we really loved her reportage style. I’ve always been a fan of photographers who are able to capture a special moment without making it look cheesy – and Lisa has just such a style. So we got in touch and arranged a booking that’s spread over the course of the year, one shoot now, one in six months and one after a year – that way we can really see how Beatrice has changed.
As both myself and Hannah aren’t professional models by trade, we were a little uncomfortable in front of the camera at first, but Lisa put us at ease and before we knew it we were enjoying ourselves and the whole process of getting a good shot. We’d also been concerned about the size of our apartment and whether it would effect the composition of the photos, but Lisa assured us it would be ok so we ploughed on. And I’m happy to say that our little Beatrice was well behaved too! It was a really great experience, made all the more enjoyable thanks to Lisa’s amiable personality.
After about two weeks a little box arrived from Lisa, replete with a selection of our photos printed out, a memory stick and some rather tasty bean sweets inside. Needless to say, we loved the photos (and the beans)! A gorgeous selection of colour and black and white photos, each of which had been finished with a bit of retouching magic from Lisa. She’d really managed to capture some endearing moments of us as a family – photos we’ll be enjoying for many years to come. And I’m happy to report the size of our apartment hadn’t affected the photos at all. I couldn’t recommend Lisa enough and I’m definitely looking forward to the next shoot to see what she’ll capture.”
Thank you Mark for such kind words. I really enjoyed my morning with you. Hannah and Mark have also booked my ‘Watch Your Little Beanies Grow’ package. This has grown now due to popular demand. It’s such a great way to document your little one during the first year, never missing those key milestones, it keeps your photos consistent by using the same photographer and style and it also saves those pennies too. You can find out more here.
Lots of love
Why not have a look at Baby Max who was only 3 weeks old.
