DAY IN A LIFE SESSIONS
From the minute you wake up, morning snuggles in bed, having breakfast, and going on adventures, to the kids splashing in the bath and getting ready for bed, a lot can happen in a day in the life of a family.
During your Day In The Life experience, I literally never ask you to do a thing. I purely document all those extra “everyday” moments that show off your family life in all of its unique glory.
You can choose from documenting a half day (morning or afternoon) or an entire day. The choice is yours.
RISE & SHINE......
I just love to arrive at the crack of dawn and start your day with you, capturing those morning snuggles in bed (my favourite), teeth brushing and enjoying breakfast.
I’m there to photograph whatever it is you usually do, although if you’d like I can plan an adventure for you (and the kids, of course!).
A Day In The Life session is a great way to spend quality time together – no phones, just fun fun fun, laughter and smiles.
SLEEPY HEADS
After a fun day out or just chilling out at home being you, it’s time for tea and baths, and as the night starts to draw in, bedtime approaches.
Who would ever think to capture bedtime? The light is immense, and the kids have really got to know me so I can just get the best from them. Pyjamas, stories, and goodnight kisses. Trust me, it’ll be the easiest bedtime you’ve ever had!
This kind of photo session is possibly something you’ve never considered before, but I promise you that it’s so completely worthwhile to capture a day in your life right now before your little ones grow up forever.
DOCUMENTARY FILMS
Perhaps you’re tempted to take it one step further, and delve into a film lifestyle session?
Yes – a short documentary of an ordinary day! Not a wedding, or a christening, just real life being captured on film.
I can create a totally bespoke package especially for you. You could book a session which focuses solely on making a film, or you could include a film in your photographic package to really capture those exceptional connections and emotions that are a part of everyday life.

Real life isn’t posed, and your children rarely sit still – so why would you want the photographs that reflect the most significant moments of your life to be like that?
A Little Beanies photo session documents your very own real and fun-filled story – the story of your unique family life featuring everyone, even mum & dad!
You’ll have photographs to literally treasure forever.
"We asked Lisa to come and document our life when our twin girls turned one. She stayed all day and captured everything. I'm so pleased we did. Time is going so fast and Lisa just captured everything perfectly. We just wanted to be the real us having fun and it was exactly that. I felt a bit daft in my pyjamas but we soon got used to having Lisa around”

SOME OF THE FINER DETAILS...
A session typically lasts an hour with a family but I allow up to 2 hours. I say this because kids generally don’t last that long, and I really do get the best from them in the first hour. It’s sometimes nice to have a change in location or scenery so maybe pop in the garden or drive somewhere a few mins away. It also means you can plan something else with your day if you have taken time off as I won’t be taking up your whole day unless you book my Day in a life which is a different concept altogether.
I love the home as this is where you spend most of your time and equally if they are children aged 3 plus they normally love the outdoors too. So this is entirely up to you. IUF the distance isn’t too far I often do a combination of both for a change of scenery.
If I come to your home, I normally get to know the kids a little first but I do get snapping pretty much straight away as kids don’t last too long. I’m always happy to have a chat before hand to plan your session. If you would like an activity we can do baking, go on a bear hunt (always fun for older ones), I even have kids turn into super hero’s half way through too which is also lots of fun. We can go for a walk, go to the park, feed the ducks. I have lots of trick ups my sleeve to keep them entertained. The most important thing is to be you and just doing your everyday things often keeps them very much entertained.
It is so important that you wear what you feel comfortable with in and the kids. I tend to say don’t wear any big logos or loud patterns. No need to coordinate unless you want to. The more comfortable you feel, the more relaxed you and the family will be and one less thing to worry about.
Being a mum of two young boys myself I know exactly what life can be like with kids. One minute everything is fine and the next minute they are throwing an almighty tantrum. Honestly don’t worry this can happen and it’s not a problem at all. We just make sure the kids are happy. They lead the show basically and we never ask them to do anything they don’t ant to. They may want a snack and a sit down. This is fine. I will read the situation and they may just need a little break and this is why I’m really flexible on my sessions. If there is more than one child then we can just focus on the other for a bit or mum and dad. Believe me they soon want to get involved again!
Absolutely! Although I am very much capturing the moment, I do like to make sure we have a certain number of photos in a certain way. I tend not to ask you to look at the camera much but when I see the time is right I will definitely get a slightly more posed photo. After all the parents love these ones! Generally the session is much more relaxed though and you tend to get the best ones this way in your natural surroundings.
