It’s not always easy to capture a birth – and it’s not always what people want.
However, if you still want professional photographs of your baby as tiny as possible, my First Days package is perfect for you!
WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!
The first 48 hours of your baby’s life holds immensely emotional moments that can’t be repeated – a First Days session (the Little Beanies version of a Fresh 48 session) preserves the memories you never want to forget.
Whether you want to capture your little one meeting their sibling and grandparents, the first bath, or simply mum, dad, and baby at home together, I will be there to take those photographs.
This session takes the pressure off if you don’t like the idea of having a birth photographer as it still gives you the option to record those incredible early days. Of course, you can always book it in addition to your Birth session
Your session will be about capturing moments, there will be no posing, and it will typically take place in the morning when we have beautiful natural lighting.
HOW IT WORKS
All you need to do is to pay the fee to secure your session, book me based on your due date – and then we just see what happens!
I keep in touch during the run-up to your due date, and when your baby arrives, you’ll let me know as soon as possible.
We’ll work out what is best for you, and I’ll come over when it’s most convenient for you within 48 hours.
I can attend the hospital, your home or birthing centre.

- Me and my camera and expertise with tiny ones for 1 to 2 hours, depending on how your baby is, as they may need settling or feeding. Having two boys of my own, I know how tiring those first few days can be. I work as quickly as I can, so you can get back to resting.
- Shoot for up to 5 people at a location of your choice*
- Selection of 50+ images to choose from, all individually crafted and edited in my Little Beanies Signature Style

SOME OF THE FINER DETAILS...
A session typically lasts an hour with a newborn but I allow up to 2 hours to allow for setting and feeding etc. you will also be shattered as this stage so I don’t really want to there for too long so you can get some sleep and rest. I will get everything I need during that time, leaving you the rest of the day to bond with your family and new baby.
I am happy to attend the hospital, your home or birthing centre, where ever you decide. We can wait until you get home if you like too.
It is so important that you wear what you feel comfortable with in, as you will have just given birth or had a C-Section. I tend to say don’t wear any big logos or loud patterns. No need to coordinate unless you want to. The more comfortable you feel, the more relaxed you and the family will be and one less thing to worry about.
The last thing I want you to do is stress about the house when you have literally just had a baby or you simply don’t have time. I can work in the smallest of spaces and we can move things about on the day. The most important thing is that we capture you, your family and your baby together just being you. This time just goes so quickly., so don’t let this put you off.
This is what I’m here for. If you are conscious of your weight or feeling a bit frumpy I can take some really beautiful photo’s using light and different angles which create a flattering look. Honestly, just go for it, as so many of my clients regret not having pics of their newborn. You won’t care anyway when your little one is hear trust me. You will look gorgeous anyway 😉
