So I decided to do something a bit different. Instead of ‘me’ talking about the shoot, lovely Philippa, with Phil and baby Fern, wanted to tell you all how her shoot went with Little Beanies. I was overwhelmed by her comments and had to share. Please please have a read to find out what it would be like if you were to book me. Thanks Philippa for your kind words. So interesting to hear it from your perspective and why you chose me.

“A keen photographer myself, I’ve been capturing images of my baby girl, Fern, since she was moments old. By the time she was 5 months I had masses of images of her, alone and with family and friends. But only one or two that included me, or us together with my husband Phil. And not a single one of the three of us with our basset hound, Olive.”

“I had thought about booking a family shoot, but it was quite difficult to find a photographer nearby who created the naturally lit, unstaged, relaxed images I prefer. Baby-in-a-basket and ‘fun’ family studio shots aren’t for me.

When I saw Mabel’s birthday party images on Rock My Style, which had exactly the feel I wanted, I realised that the photographer Lisa didn’t live too far from me. It was quite a leap of faith as I had been disappointed with my wedding photos and that whole experience of dealing with a professional photographer had left me cold. But from my very first contact with Lisa I felt completely reassured and confident. She was always positive and warm, quick to respond and really accommodating. She showed a genuine interest in my family and was keen to understand precisely my hopes for the images she could capture, and explain her processes.”

“This professional, friendly approach continued during the shoot itself. We had been a little nervous but Lisa soon had us feeling at ease and we actually really enjoyed every moment! It was clear she really loves what she does and her enthusiasm was infectious. She was a natural with Fern and knew just how to get the best from her without being obtrusive. We were sad when it was over!

Afterwards, Lisa managed to accommodate a special request in addition to our original agreement which was very kind and much appreciated. She kept me informed about the process of the edit and before long a beautiful package was delivered.”

“We were completely thrilled with the images she has given us. They are precisely as we’d hoped, in fact they exceeded our expectations. Thanks to Lisa we have a set of beautiful family photos which capture a fabulous moment in time and we will treasure them forever. I would urge anyone wondering whether they should book a family shoot to just do it and get in touch with Lisa as soon as possible as she’s understandably getting booked up fast!
