Little Beanies like to carry out our family photo shoots a little differently. Our sessions aren’t about making sure we get the perfect posed picture.

They are about making sure we perfectly capture who your family are at heart when you are all together.

To ensure we can make this session as natural as possible we tailor the session to best suit your own family dynamic.

We do this because we know it’s the best way of making sure everyone has fun and you have images to treasure that truly reflect who you are as a family.

That’s why we come to you instead of making you come and pose in a studio, we get you to pick a location that works best for your family. That can be at home or an outside location in or around the Stratford Upon Avon area.

Whether that is a fun carefree photo shoot at home or a natural, relaxed session outdoors at a location of your choice. You see the most important part is choosing a location that your whole family can feel relaxed and have fun in.

As a mum I know kids are happiest when they are just relaxed and having fun, which is why there will be no demands to look at the camera or uncomfortable posed positions. That is not how your family normally are when they are together and therefore that isn’t the kind of image to really capture the essence of your family!

I want them to play, sing, dance, jump, cuddle and have fun. Sometimes the best images come from kids jumping on the sofa, kicking a ball about, reading a book and just being themselves.

Or If you prefer an outdoor shoot, then a walk in the beach, an adventure in the woods or playing in the park are just some of the ways we can really capture the most natural images of your family.

You don’t have to worry about posing, looking at the camera or making sure the children are on their best behaviour, all you have to do is have fun as a family and let me do the rest.

NB This session fee only includes one 10 x 8 photographic print. It does not include any other images or products, Additional products can be purchased separately after the session. The session fee covers all preparation, travel time, the session itself, editing/post-production and preparing the images for viewing and ordering.

SOME OF THE FINER DETAILS...

Because I don’t need to mould the baby I don’t specifically ask for them to be under 2 weeks old. I believe anytime up to 12 -14 weeks is fine. You may feel more ready at around 6 weeks. For more specific info about the best times and what to expect when please had over to a blog I put together on this here.

For very tiny babies I suggest the home is the best place to keep them nice and cosy. However if you are wanting to get out and about after 6 weeks if the wether is nice you may want to pop out for a bit to get a bit of fresh air. Maybe you would like to go back to somewhere special that means something to you. I’m happy to do both if you select a place close by.

A session typically lasts about an hour with a family. the reason for this is that babies don’t last too long and you are also pretty pooped too. I am really flexible with feeds and settling too so I do allow up to 2 but this is rarely required. As it’s in your natural relaxed setting the baby doesn’t feel any different and we just get some lovely shots of you and your new baby together as a family.

It is so important that you wear what you feel comfortable in as you have just had a baby. I tend to say don’t wear any big logos or loud patterns. No need to coordinate unless you want to. The more comfortable you feel, the more relaxed you and the family will be and one less thing to worry about. For the baby just lovely pastels or whites is fine. there is no need to go out and buy a special outfit unless you want too. Tiny baby grows work really well on my sessions.

The last thing I want you to do is stress about the house when you have just had a baby or you simply don’t have time. I can work in the smallest of spaces and we can move things about on the day. The most important thing is that we capture you, your family and your baby together just being you. This time just goes so quickly.

Absolutely! Although I am very much capturing the moment, I do like to make sure we have a certain number of photos in a certain way. I tend not to ask you to look at the camera much but when I see the time is right I will definitely get a slightly more posed photo. After all the parents love these ones! Generally the session is much more relaxed though and you tend to get the best ones this way in your natural surroundings.
