Here at Little Beanies we specialise in relaxed natural family photography, as an award-winning photographer I create most of my family photography sessions in either an outdoor setting or a location that best suits you and your family in a variety of locations!

I’ve worked with families in locations in Warwickshire, Coventry, Alcester, Solihull and all around the West Midlands.

As a mum myself I understand how important it is that your family photography session is as natural as possible to make sure everyone is relaxed and has fun as that is when the best pictures are captured.

Unlike most family photographers I always aim to avoid staged, forced poses. Preferring to photograph your family in as natural a setting as possible.

So if your kids are happier kicking a ball about a park, that’s great let’s do that. Or perhaps a family walk in the woods or at the beach is what your family would love. For those of you who prefer to choose an indoor setting then we can do this at home or a location of your choice!

I know that for me natural photographs of my family is what makes me smile and I’ve found that most of my clients feel the same way.

This way even the quietest, camera shy kid will enjoy themselves and let us really see who they are in the images.

We just want you all to naturally interact and have fun and I will capture those images in as natural a way as possible.

NB This session fee only includes one 10 x 8 photographic print. It does not include any other images or products, Additional products can be purchased separately after the session. The session fee covers all preparation, travel time, the session itself, editing/post-production and preparing the images for viewing and ordering.

SOME OF THE FINER DETAILS...

Because I don’t need to mould the baby I don’t specifically ask for them to be under 2 weeks old. I believe anytime up to 12 -14 weeks is fine. You may feel more ready at around 6 weeks. For more specific info about the best times and what to expect when please had over to a blog I put together on this here.

For very tiny babies I suggest the home is the best place to keep them nice and cosy. However if you are wanting to get out and about after 6 weeks if the wether is nice you may want to pop out for a bit to get a bit of fresh air. Maybe you would like to go back to somewhere special that means something to you. I’m happy to do both if you select a place close by.

A session typically lasts about an hour with a family. the reason for this is that babies don’t last too long and you are also pretty pooped too. I am really flexible with feeds and settling too so I do allow up to 2 but this is rarely required. As it’s in your natural relaxed setting the baby doesn’t feel any different and we just get some lovely shots of you and your new baby together as a family.

It is so important that you wear what you feel comfortable in as you have just had a baby. I tend to say don’t wear any big logos or loud patterns. No need to coordinate unless you want to. The more comfortable you feel, the more relaxed you and the family will be and one less thing to worry about. For the baby just lovely pastels or whites is fine. there is no need to go out and buy a special outfit unless you want too. Tiny baby grows work really well on my sessions.

The last thing I want you to do is stress about the house when you have just had a baby or you simply don’t have time. I can work in the smallest of spaces and we can move things about on the day. The most important thing is that we capture you, your family and your baby together just being you. This time just goes so quickly.

Absolutely! Although I am very much capturing the moment, I do like to make sure we have a certain number of photos in a certain way. I tend not to ask you to look at the camera much but when I see the time is right I will definitely get a slightly more posed photo. After all the parents love these ones! Generally the session is much more relaxed though and you tend to get the best ones this way in your natural surroundings.
